My food at “City Farm School”

 

I participated in the celebration of the 5th anniversary of “City Farm School”  is an initiative to develop partnerships and expertise in urban agriculture on the island of Montréal.

For my table I chose a selection of different vegetables and herbs that came from Santropol Rolland and Red Orach, and I left them almost intact (washed and trimmed) so people could appreciate the vegetable as they are with the adding of some vinaigrettes and dips.

After the party, Concordia University had an event “The future of farming where special guests Joël Salatin (Polyface Farm), Jean-Martin Fortier (The Market Gardener) and Maximie Laplante (Union Paysanne) were talking about the potential of the local agriculture and the creation of profitable farms with ethic values.
